Paradox - to best achieve our goals for growth we must hold together a sense of urgency along with a great deal of patience. This will take time and dedication.
These steps overlap. In order to sustain growth, all the steps occur simultaneously and cyclically.
I need a team of 3 to 5 people to work with me on the Welcoming Growth plan. While the entire congregation will be involved in Welcoming Growth, this team will take on a leadership role. The primary responsibilities will be to provide guidance, inspiration and motivation to the congregation. This team will look for ideas and projects to grow the church. We will plan, track progress, evaluate and reformulate as needed. This team will take advantage of any training offered by the conference or association (especially the free stuff). We may offer focus groups on issues related to growth. This team will also work to insure that our growth is spiritually and Biblically grounded.
