Some Christians seem to worship it. Some Christians seem to discount it. Some say it is history, some literature, some the word of God. Many of you have questions about our holy text. During Lent, we will hold Bible 101, a class that covers the basics of this amazing collection of books.
The class will meet for six weeks on Wednesdays starting February 22, from 5:15 to 6:15. As of the date of this writing, I am still reviewing books to aid us in our learning. Once I have chosen the book there will be a sign up in the fellowship hall. You can sign up for the class and the book, or, if you are unable to attend but want to follow along, you can sign up for the book. I will order them to hand out on Sunday February 19. If you want a book and can’t afford one, please let me know and I’ll see that you get a copy.
Hope to see you on Wednesday nights!

The purpose and mission of this ministry is to combine the care and love of knitting into a prayerful ministry that reaches out to those in need of comfort.
After more than 5 years in this ministry, we are still continuing to receive lots of yarn and have industrious women constructing more gifts with loving attention and fellowship.
The yarn is blessed before its knitted; the knitters, knotters, and fringers are blessed to fulfill this ministry; and the completed shawls are blessed before given away. We have knit over 100 prayer shawls and counting. These shawls are presented to congregation members, visitors, friends, family members, and hospital patients; wherever there is a need for added blessings in times of illness, recovery, loss and even joy.
You are invited to join our shawl ministry. The more knitters and knotters we have, the more blessings will be shared throughout the world. If you have any questions, please call Donna at the church office at 719-599-3057.
